Notes: A common yet striking butterfly that can be kept in schools and with other butterflyfish. The Racoon Butterfly makes a great addition to most community tanks. Make sure to provide plenty of swimming room and several hiding places where it can retreat.
The Racoon Butterflyfish will eat a wide range of soft and stony corals, invertebrates and especially sea anemones so it is not a good choice for the reef aquarium.
Feed a variety of carnivore preparations including mysid shrimp, brine shrimp, krill, and marine fish. If at first it seems reluctant to eat try tempting it with a small sea anemone.
