The Steinitz Goby will spend most of its time in or around its burrow. It requires mixed substrate to construct its burrow. They may be kept singly, although thay prefer to be kept in pairs or small groups. They are a type of Shrimp Goby, and will share a burrow with a variety of pistol shrimp.

Steiniz Gobies can spawn in home aquariums.

Offer a varied diet of carnivore preparations, vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, live black worms, and finely chopped seafood.
