It “eats” sand and removes detritus (waste) from it as it passes the sand through its body. The clean sand is released out of its body. One Pink Cucumber is sufficient for a 60 gallon aquarium.

Do not keep with aggressive fishes that are not safe with invertebrates. It does have the ability to release mild toxins, when injured, that could be harmful to fish.
