Chances are you will not see this starfish often, as it will burrow into the sand to hide or search for food. Nevertheless it is a good choice for any reef aquarium, and will help create a balanced ecosystem.

Maintain stable pH and specific gravity levels to keep this starfish healthy. Sudden changes in water parameters can cause bacterial infections that may cause necrosis of its arms, or even death.

Offer it chopped meaty foods once a week.
