Notes: The Red Montipora Setosa is probably one of the rarest corals we offer, and we only have a limited number of frags for sale. This coral grows well in any SPS aquarium. Unlike many other montipora the Montipora Setosa will grow in a combination of forms. The same specimen will often encrust, plate, and branch. Red Montipora Setosa requires moderate water currents and intense lighting provided by metal halides to maintain its color. It is important that proper calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium levels are maintained. Use of Kalkwasser Mix or a calcium reactor will be of great benefit.

Place the Red Montipora Setosa on an exposed rock along the top half of the aquarium where currents will be able to supply it with necessary nutrients and trace elements.

Vivid Aquariums recommends feeding SPS corals with Oyster-Feast and/or Roti-Feast.
