- Removes organic pollutants, stains, and entrained toxic gases in marine aquariums.
- Keeps water crystal clear and houses beneficial nitrifying bacteria.
- Contains the finest pelletized activated bituminous coal based carbon.
- Because Reef Carbon is so active, you can use considerably less than with other carbons
- You need only 1/4 lb. or 1 cupful of Reef Carbon per 100 gallons of tank capacity, you may need more or less depending on how dirty the tank is
- Rinse well and place inside a mesh filter bag in the sump, or inside a canister filter.
- Carbon will remove some trace elements, so be sure to use the proper additives to replace lost trace elements.
