Notes: This beautiful SPS (small polyped stony) coral from Bali aquired its name because of the large amount of mucus it can release if disturbed by other close by corals, or by handling. The mucus is not harmful to other corals. The Bali Green Slimer has a very fuzzy appearence when its polyps are open. It is a very interesting acropora to watch during feeding time. The Green Slimer Acropora requires moderate water currents and intense lighting provided by metal halides to maintain its color. It is important that proper calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium levels are maintained. Use of Kalkwasser Mix or a calcium reactor will be of great benefit.
Place the Bali Green Slimer on an exposed rock along the top half of the aquarium where currents will be able to supply it with necessary nutrients and trace elements.
Vivid Aquariums recommends feeding SPS corals with Oyster-Feast and/or Roti-Feast.
