Notes: This rare Purple Rim Cap (montipora capricornus) is a fast grower and will grow in a beautiful plating formation. It is bright green with a purple rim around the edge.
Purple Rim Montipora Capricornus requires moderate water currents and intense lighting provided by metal halides to maintain its color. It is important that proper calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium levels are maintained. Use of Kalkwasser Mix or a calcium reactor will be of great benefit.
Place the Purple Rim Montipora Capricornus on an exposed rock along the top half of the aquarium where currents will be able to supply it with necessary nutrients and trace elements.
Vivid Aquariums recommends feeding SPS corals with Oyster-Feast and/or Roti-Feast.
