Notes: The Pink Prostrata is similar to Millepora and has very long polyp extension. Prostrata grows in a branching, antler like, pattern. This coral does have a very fuzzy appearence. Provide this coral with strong currents and watch its beautiful polyps get blown around every which way.
It will do well under 250 watt or 400 watt metal halide lighting. We keep ours along the top half of the tank under 20K bulbs. Maintaining proper calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium levels will encourage faster growth. Run phosphate media to keep phosphate below .04 ppm. Low phosphate levels are important if you want any SPS coral to stay brightly colored. Calcium reactors can be used to automate the dosing of calcium for your SPS aquarium.
Vivid Aquariums recommends feeding SPS corals with Oyster-Feast and/or Roti-Feast.
