Notes: The Bicolor Frogspawn Coral gets its name from its unique polyps, which resemble a mass of frog eggs. This unique and attractive LPS coral is great for beginners. It requires moderate water currents and moderate to high reef lighting for proper health. It is important that proper calcium and alkalinity levels are maintained. Use of Kalkwasser Mix or a calcium reactor will be of great benefit.

Place the Bicolor Frogspawn Coral on an exposed rock along the bottom two-thirds of the aquarium where currents will be able to supply it with necessary nutrients and trace elements. It expands to twice its normal size during the evenings, and its long sweeper tentacles can sting nearby corals. Leave 4.5"-5.5" between it and other corals. Be careful to place it so that only the skeleton comes in contact with the live rock.

Symbiotic algae called zooxanthellae hosted within its body supply the majority of its nutritional requirements through photosynthesis. Supplementing its diet with the addition of trace elements, marine snow, phytoplankton, and food for filter feeders will help to insure its continued good health.
