tips: Quarantine Tanks are
very beneficial, which I learned my
second time around. I have a 5
gallon tank for this pupose.
New specimens should be quarantined
for atleast 21 days to rid diseases
and parasites. The tank can
also be used as a hospital tank for
any fish that get sick. Also,
for my small system, 10-20% water
changes once a week is very
beneficial. I will be adding a
prizm protien skimmer next week,
because I will be adding more
bioload to the tank in the next few
months. Trace elements and vitamins
are also a plus.
